With reference to the decisions issued today by H.E. the Minister of Finance regarding the exceptional measures aimed at facilitating the clearance of imports and reducing the burden on investors amid the current global crisis, most notably allowing shipping agencies to transport imported cargo from ports to warehouses and dry ports located outside customs ports of entry:
Customs authorities have committed to shipping agencies that cargo transported outside customs ports of entry will not be released until the shipping agency issues the Delivery Order (D/O).
We are pleased to inform our shipping line customers and concerned parties that Global Logistics Egypt – General Customs Bonded Warehouse, operating under License No. 63 of 2009, located at Plot No. 6, Block 7 West, Damietta Port, is ready to receive cargo, whether containerized or loose, unload the cargo, and return the empty containers, contributing to the reduction of demurrage and storage charges.
